Speed record was a tiny label created by Stanley Lewis in the late sixties. With an extravagant sound, Speed continued Cotique's mission to explore the beautiful fusion of Latin rhythms with funk and soul. Far from delivering timeless musical statements, the Speed discography provides an endearing time capsule into the lush soundscapes of swanky boogaloo, shing-a-ling and genre-bending instrumental workouts. Speed recorded very few records and singles and we are highlighting here “Take A Trip To Pussycat” by The Latin Blues Band featuring Luis Aviles and “From the Streets” by Chuito & The Latin Uniques.
