The Miami Salsa Congress is this week from August 4^th to 8th. Here you can find all the information about the different events and locations that will take place this week including more than 80 live spectacular showcases, salsa DJs and live bands and instructional classes. Most of the events take place at the Eden Roc Hotel, 4525 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. The general admission is $80 and this includes all shows, concerts and general dancing.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 4

• Opening Night: Live broadcast with WXDJ-FM (95.7) and the Congress DJ team; 10 p.m., Uva Nightclub, 2121 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables; $10.

THURSDAY, AUG. 5

• Official Kickoff Party: With instructor demonstrations and the Congress DJ team; 9 p.m., Karma Supperclub, 619 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; $15, $10 Florida residents.

FRIDAY, AUG. 6

• Congress Registration Desk Open: Staff available to answer questions and for registration fast; 10 a.m.

• Dance Workshops: Noon-4 p.m.

• Stage Rehearsal: Only registered performers on day they perform are allowed access: 3 p.m.

• Theater Doors Open: Theater-style seating for dance showcases; 8 p.m.

• Dance Hall Doors Open: Evening party with Lisett ``La Mulata del Sabor'' Morales live in concert and the Congress DJ team; 10 p.m.

• Afterparty: South Beach-style afterparty with open format dance music and live performers; 3-6 a.m.

SATURDAY, AUG. 7

• Yoga in the Garden: Early morning session to prepare for the day's activities; 10-11 a.m., Poolside, lower deck.

• Cardio Salsa by the Pool: With Serena Cuevas and Melanie Rivera; 11 a.m.-noon; Poolside, lower deck.

• Dance Workshops: Noon-4 p.m.

• Mini-Salsa Boot Camp: A crash course for beginners; noon-4 p.m.

• Poolside Dancing: With the Congress DJ team, featuring Timbalero Tony Choi live; noon-5 p.m.

• Stage Rehearsal: Only registered performers on the day they perform are allowed access; 3 p.m.

• Theater Doors Open: Theater-style seating for dance showcases; 8 p.m.
